The Elite Dance Academy

At Elite Dance Academy we provide dance classes in many genres of dance including Cecchetti Classical Ballet, Glenn Wood Tap, Jazz, Modern Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Musical Theatre, Broadway Jazz, Contemporary dance and Acrobatics. We now also have READY SET DANCE for our pre-school age students , this is a fabulous program providing CONFIDENCE , CREATIVITY AND COORDINATION. 

Our qualified & experienced dance teachers are trained to provide professional lessons in a fun and supportive environment according to the relevant syllabus. The teachers constantly attend workshops and classes to bring new styles and techniques to the Elite Dance Academy.

The students learn to dance whilst improving their confidence, flexibility, co-ordination, posture and fitness. The students make new friends whilst dancing and performing.

In the past our students have performed at Dreamworld, Gold Coast Show and other local events. In 2012 , 2015 and 2018 a group of our dancers travelled to Los Angeles where they performed at Disneyland, Hollywood Boulevarde, Universal Studios and in the Disney Main Street Parade. Our dancers also had the opportunity to attend workshops at Disneyland and the world renowned dance studio, ‘The Edge’ and ‘Millennium ” in Los Angles.  We can’t wait to travel again as soon as possible .

Our students are lucky enough to have guest teachers throughout the year, in the past these have included Gaz from ‘Instant Bunz’, Matt Pappa from ‘Tap Dogs’ and Jillian Green from Singing In the Rain . 

The students enjoy performing and competing at local eisteddfods, we also have had students in the final round of ‘Showcase’ at Jupiter’s Casino , we are proud that some of our students made it into the top 10 in their age division. Our competition students also attend the national finals for FYD in Adelaide in January and we were thrilled with their amazing results.  As always we are proud of all of our students achievements . 

Our Ballet students study the Cecchetti method of ballet our qualified teachers prepare the students for exams and performances. in New and a former ballerina. We have held the William Carse Medal 3 years running and in 2016 one of our students had the honour of being selected to join the Joffrey Ballet School in New York.
